INNTRA Zen Connect series

Yoga Gives Back Seva Trip 2019
Exactly 7 years ago I followed one of my dreams. To work with orphans in the country that gave me the gift of yoga, for which I’m ever grateful. To feel rich and free without any material possessions and to go back to the essence of life. I was already a dedicated ambassador for Yoga Gives Back for a couple of years, but then I decided it was time to take action and put the essence of yoga into practice. I gave up everything in the Netherlands and went to orphanage Deenabandhu Trust, Chamarajanagara, India to volunteer there as a trauma therapist and yoga teacher and stayed there many months to support traumatized children and women. I learned a lot of wise life lessons during my stay there and one the profound ones is that there’s no greater gift than giving something without wanting something in return, which gives you something back that’s priceless. In the years that followed I kept on raising donations and kept going back the place that stole my heart forever to volunteer there for as much time I could. This is a video about the last Seva trip we made with a couple of YGB ambassadors. I feel so immensely grateful for Gugguri Jayadev, the owner of the orphanage, all the children and women at Deenabandhu Trust, the wonderful people that work there, the teachers at school and everyone who has supported me in my fundraising for this wonderful place and with that support good in the world. No one has ever become poor by giving.
And donations for the orphans are still welcome on my personal fundraiser:
